This course is ideal for experienced (3+years) Web developers:

Seeking to gain knowledge and skills to develop Microsoft Silverlight 2.0 web applications focusing on user interfaces, program structure, language syntax, and implementation details.

Specific areas to be covered include:

Creating Silverlight 2.0 web application based on the Silverlight project template.

Understanding Windows Presentation Foundation and how web browsers can display Silverlight 2.0 applications

Creating comprehensive user interfaces using XAML

Utilizing built in UI Automation mechanisms to provide accessibility options

Understanding resources and how they can provide styling and templating to the interface

Using animation to provide an interactive and aesthetically pleasing user interface

Developing a deep understanding of the Silverlight 2.0 framework and programming libraries

Building dynamic data driven applications using the Silverlight service architecture

Preparing and packaging Silverlight 2.0 applications so that they may be successfully deployed to the client.
