Intellect sponsors the SEAL Legacy Foundation’s Tampa Bay Book Festival

Intellect is pleased to announce a $15,000 gift to the SEAL Legacy Foundation, as a Presenting Sponsor for the upcoming Tampa Bay Book Festival to occur on November 7, 2015.

In addition to the Company’s cash donation, Intellect is providing operational support for the event.

This is the third year in a row that Intellect has supported the SEAL Legacy Foundation.

Intellect CEO Jim Barge commented “The SEAL Legacy Foundation is an organization that has significant meaning to me personally. After a chance meeting with the Foundation’s founder, Commander (SEAL) Mark McGinnis, I knew it was something that we needed to support. In getting to know more about the SEAL community, I’m moved by many things. First, on a daily basis there are missions being carried out by these brave men, unbeknownst to the rest of us, who enjoy our daily lives and sleep peacefully at night in part because of their work and sacrifice. Second, the Navy SEALs offer a model for excellence, both personal and organizational. So many components of what the SEALs are about can and should be applied to our personal and business lives.”

“SEAL Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non profit that is dedicated to the support of the Navy SEAL community. The Foundation provides grants and scholarships to the family of Navy SEALs, including many fallen Navy SEALs, to provide financial assistance when it is needed most, for the people who have given the most.”

The Tampa Bay Book Festival will be held at the Westin Harbour Island Hotel on November 7, 2015. The event will bring together 30+ of the nation’s top suspense/thriller novelists, as well as several SEALs who have authored non-fiction books about their experiences. In addition to book signings, there will be a VIP Reception where attendees can meet the authors and SEALs in a relaxed atmosphere including food and music.
