Run IT like a business, for your business.
"An estimated 68% of corporate IT projects are neither on time nor on budget,
and they don't deliver the originally stated business goals. Some even claim
that during the last two years, $100 billion to $150 billion of U.S. IT
projects failed altogether."

"Best Practices in IT Portfolio Management",

What is Information Technology Governance (ITG)?
Long viewed as a cost center, businesses are now more closely examining how
they develop, use and spend on information technology - and making sure that
the output of IT initiatives are ultimately supporting business objectives.
This process of aligning IT performance with business success is referred to as
IT Governance, or ITG.
IT Governance aims to:
- Align IT initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Prioritize IT projects against likely benefits and ROI.
- Better organize related projects and avoid duplicated efforts across enterprises.
- Drive real-time visibility and control of projects and spend - manage scope and reduce risk.
- Lower total cost of ownership (TCO) related to all IT projects.
ITG has several components, including:
- Demand Management
- Portfolio Management
- Project Management
- Resource Management
- Time Management
- And more...
